WHAT WE OFFER

The Love-Life Marriage and Family Center provides private, confidential counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups at its Clarks Summit facility located on the campus of Baptist Bible College & Seminary.

During your first session you can expect to meet with the Clinical Director or Clinical Supervisor who will gather key information, discuss your primary concerns, and work with you to set goals for your session.

HOW A TYPICAL COUNSELING SESSION WORKS

The Center was designed to function as a training and teaching facility for the Graduate Program in Counseling offered at Baptist Bible College, while also providing a service to the campus and broader community. Therefore, counselees are counseled by an intern or counselor in-training under the supervision of a professional.

The counseling room is equipped with one-way glass and wireless in-ear communication technology allowing the supervisor to observe and communicate with the student counselor as sessions progress.

The counselor and supervising professional are each bound by strict confidentiality guidelines. Counselees will meet with the same counselor for every session. The average session lasts about 50 minutes.

FEES

Individuals who receive counseling or testing services agree to pay for services at the time such services are rendered. Alternative payment arrangements must be made in advance.

Each client agrees to pay a $125 initial fee which covers the intake session and processing costs. Payments for following sessions are based on a sliding scale fee. Payments are arranged between the client and the intake counselor during the first session.

For more information about fees, please contact Ms. JB Baughman via email or phone (570.585.9415).

In an effort to keep the cost of counseling as low as possible for our clients, the Center does not accept medical insurance.
